Which name are you choosing?
Choose Profile nickname for a label you intend other players to see. Choose Fan character for a name you plan to use in a story or character sheet. HoYoverse presents Wanderer as a particular character in its own introduction. You can use the distinction between that character and your own label as a starting point. Give each word a different job
Pick one word you can recognize at a glance. Pick a second that adds a detail you enjoy, such as an object your character carries or a sound you associate with the scene. If both words do the same job, replace one. A reader who sees the name once should have one clear thing to remember.
Try Reed and Lantern. Reed is short enough to recognize in a list. Lantern gives you something concrete to write into a scene. If the second word feels more distinctive, read the reverse order aloud. The tool preserves your words so you can judge what changed when you switch their order.
Read the profile draft in a narrow list
Profile mode offers the first word alone, the two words joined and the first word with the second word’s initial. Start with the shortest draft. Then compare the longer draft to see whether the second word is still easy to spot. If you have to stop and separate the words in your head, try another pair.
Before copying, check whether the candidate reveals anything you meant to keep private. The terms advise against nicknames that expose real names or other personal data. A place from your story can do the work of a personal place name without revealing where you live. HoYoverse’s terms
Read the fan name in a line of dialogue
Fan character mode gives the two spaced orders and a version with the second word joined by a hyphen. Put each option in one sentence where another character calls the name. Then read it again in a sentence where a narrator introduces the character. A form that looks good as a heading may feel too long when someone says it.
Keep the word you would use in dialogue as the opening if you want the first part to double as a nickname. If you prefer the whole form, use it twice in a short scene to see whether the rhythm holds. Write any regional or family background in your own story notes. This workshop builds text from your inputs and supplies no translation.
Can I paste a story draft straight into my profile?
First switch to Profile nickname and compare the compact options. Copy one candidate and review it in the game’s current entry field. The game determines what it accepts. Keep the spaced form in your story notes if you still want it for dialogue. Changing modes changes the draft list, and each button copies only its displayed candidate.
