First decide which naming system you mean
Blizzard's announcement for WoW: Forever describes a first-and-second-name structure whose complete combination is unique within a region. That announcement concerns Forever; it does not establish one format for every World of Warcraft version. Our two-part sketch is a creative drafting option, not a connection to that system. Confirm the version and character-creation field before using any candidate.

Start with a character brief, not extra letters
Write a short private brief for the character before you type. Decide how you want friends to address the character and which part you would say during a conversation. Choose input words that connect to your own idea. Avoid putting personal identifiers into the seed. This tool uses what you enter; it does not fetch a list of Warcraft characters or pretend a random syllable has an official cultural meaning.
Keep the brief separate from a claim about the setting. You can decide that a word evokes patience, travel or a family relationship in your own story. That is your creative interpretation. It does not establish that a race, language or faction uses that word. If a lore claim matters to your character, verify it against the relevant source rather than accepting the output as evidence.
Compare one change at a time
Single-alias mode joins your input words, tries their reverse order, makes initial-based alternatives and keeps individual words. Two-part mode keeps a visible space between parts and requires at least two words. Neither mode adds a stock surname. Every letter comes from the words you supply, with case adjustments. Duplicate candidates are removed rather than repeated to fill the list.
The length selector is a limit for your shortlist. It is not advertised as Blizzard's rule. A long result is discarded instead of silently truncated; this avoids presenting a damaged spelling as if it were your chosen name. The local script uses an English-letter subset for predictable editing. It does not claim that all other scripts are forbidden in the game. If you need another writing system, use the game's actual field and applicable documentation.
Hold the input constant for the first comparison. Look at the original order, then the reversed order, then a shortened form. Ask which version you would recognize without looking at a class icon or profile description. If every version looks awkward, change one meaningful input word. Repeated punctuation or arbitrary extra characters can hide the decision you actually need to make: which sound and shape suit your character.
A small readability rehearsal
Read each candidate as if a teammate were asking for help. Next write it in a short sentence and compare it with your other characters' aliases. Similar first letters and almost identical endings can be useful for a deliberate theme, but they can also make a list harder to scan. Choose that tradeoff consciously rather than assuming a shared ending is always better.
For a two-part sketch, say the first part by itself and then the full form. Decide whether the second part adds something to your concept or merely makes the text longer. If you want to preserve a family-style second part, use it as one of your input words and compare alternative first parts in separate runs. We do not save those runs or infer family relationships from them.
This rehearsal is an editing suggestion, not an automated pronunciation or quality score. Our inspector only checks the local English-letter subset, spacing and your selected shortlist limit. It does not assess race authenticity, policy compliance or ownership.

Take alternatives to the actual game
Copy a small set that expresses the same character concept in different ways. Keep a full version and a shorter alternative, rather than choosing unrelated names just to expand the list. If the game rejects your favorite, its message is the evidence to act on. A result marked as locally passing here does not overrule that message.
Do not assume that splitting text across two parts will bypass restrictions. Treat a complete draft as one identity when reviewing its meaning. Avoid impersonation and review the current rules for the actual service you use. We cannot provide an acceptance guarantee or tell you when a previously used name becomes available. The final decision belongs to Blizzard's systems and policies.
WoW name generator FAQ
Can you make a name feel less awkward without adding letters?
Compare the original order, a shorter form and a different input word. Our method changes visible parts of your own input; it does not claim to measure what sounds natural to every player.
Are these names available on my realm or region?
We do not check availability. Confirm the complete candidate in the specific game version and field where you will use it.
Does two-part mode mean all WoW characters now require surnames?
No. The cited Blizzard announcement is about WoW: Forever. This page does not apply its structure to every other version.
Do race or class filters generate authentic lore names?
This tool has no race-name dictionary or authenticity classifier. Use your own character brief and verify factual lore claims separately.
Why are there fewer candidates than expected?
Short input, two-part mode and a strict shortlist length can leave only a few distinct drafts. We show the actual list without filling it with duplicates.
